Head Captain & Manager of Reel 1 Up Fish & Dive Charters, Mark Garcy is a USCG licensed Captain for vessels up to 100 tons, is certified in tow & rescue, and holds current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Open Water, Nitrox, Rescue Diver and as an Oxygen Provider. He participates in a random USCG drug-testing program through ASAP. Captain Mark has over 25 years of experience fishing waters from the Great Lakes to Alaska, as well as the East and West Coasts of Florida. Captain Mark has also been a member of the SKA Tournament Team "Reel 1 Up", Spearfishing Tournament Team "Spear 1 Up" and on the Pro Staff for Owner Hooks.





Reel 1 Up Fish & Dive Charters has four vessels you may fish from and two you may dive from. "Spear 1 Up" is a 28 foot 2004 Dusky, powered by twin 175hp Mercury Opti Max Outboards. This vessel cruises at 30mph and has a top end of 46mph. It seats 6 passengers plus 2 crew comfortably and has a cabin with head on board. There is room for 10 tanks on deck and 12 more down below with plenty of space for all divers gear. "Spear 1 Up" has emergency oxygen on board, a 40 gallon fresh water wash down, 126 gallon cooler, live well, shaded areas for all our guests, dive platform and a 3 step ladder. This vessel has a range of 400 nautical miles, so custom dive trips are available upon request.

Our second fish & dive boat is "Reel 1 Up". This is a 25 foot 250 Wellcraft Coastal, powered by a 225hp Suzuki Outboard. Her top speed is 30 knots, so we spend less time getting to and from the dock and more time on the fish or to the dive sites. If you have kids, the cabin is a great place for them to get out of the sun. For the ladies, we have a toilet on board that is always clean. The boat has a live well, fish boxes, and a cooler for all of your refreshments.

If back country or flats fishing is what you prefer, we have two options. Fish aboard our 18 foot Maverick powered by a 150hp Yamaha which departs from Marco Island and 10,000 Islands, or our 20 foot Hewes Pathfinder powered by a 115hp Yamaha which departes from Ft. Myers Beach to Boca Grande. Please feel free to bring a lunch or snacks, your choice of water, soft drinks, and beer. No hard liquor, glass bottles or BANANAS please! Reel 1 Up has passed the Marine Patrol's safety requirements and is equipped with USCG required safety gear, a NOAA VHF radio with GPS safety feature, Garmin GPS and Garmin Fish Sonar. Spear 1 Up is equipped with all safety gear required by the USCG and uses Furuno Radar, GPS, and Fish Sonar.





All of your fishing gear is provided by Reel 1 Up, and is top quality equipment, from Star and Shakespeare rods to Penn and Shimano reels. Depending on the species of fish you seek, we also supply the bait and tackle from hooks to lures.
